March Newsletter
Mix Match Day
Wednesday, March 2 will be Mix Match Day at school. Have your child wear
clothes that don't match, maybe different colored socks or shoes, maybe
crazy hair! We'll have lots of fun!!
Whitney Bloomfield T-Shirt Day
Friday, March 11, let's all wear our Whitney Bloomfield T-shirts to school!
We'll all match!! If your child has out grown their complimentary T-shsirt, we
have extras for $10.00 each.
Parent/Staff Training at Whitney
Thursday, March 7 at 6pm there will be a training session held at Whitney.
Parents are envited to join with the staff in learning what heuristic play is
and it's importance for young children. Lydia Ronner, from Oakland Schools,
will be teaching the class and demonstrating what materials appeal most to
sensory-motor learners and then creating trasure baskets.
Green Day
Thursday, March 17th is Green Day at Whitney. Have your child wear to
bring something green to school that day. We'll discover what 2 colors are
necessary to make green.
Beach Day Attire Day
Tuesday, March 22 is another wacky day at school. We'll pretend we are at
the beach! Have your child bring sunglasses, fip/flops, beach ball, visor,
towel, any beach toy, etc. Please no swim suits though. Please label all
items.
CPR class at Whitney
On Thursday, March 24th all staff will be taking their annual infant/child CPR
refresher class. Hopefully, we will not ever need to use it, but we'll be ready
if necessary!
Summer/Fall Enrollment
We have now opened up enrollment for new families. Summer Camp begins
Monday, June 20th and fall classes begin the day after Labor Day, Sept 6.
