Toddler Program
Every day we have circle time, music, story time, art, age appropriate games, outdoor play, 2 snacks, lunch, and nap time.
We have two main goals in our toddler unit: 1) Toilet training and 2) Teaching social skills.
We have facilities for both changing diapers and pull ups, and a child sized 10-inch off the floor flushable toilet. We give lots of praise, stickers, and a bell that the children can ring when successful with the toilet. Everyone in the room stops and cheers for the child ringing the bell.
Social skills include following simple directions such as throwing away their cup and napkin, putting art work in their cubby, coming to circle time, keeping their hands to themselves, putting toys away, and being kind to others. All of these skills prepare the children to progress to our Montessori classrooms.
